VGDL or DDS Migration
If you're a customer of Telstra's VGDL or DDS Networks, read on!
Telstra has notified customers it will no longer provide low speed voice and data products like Voice Grade Dedicated Lines (VGDL) and Digital Data Service (DDS). These services are scheduled to be turned off in December 2009.
AEP Networks has a solution that will connect your remote location and head offices, providing an alternative to the VGDL or DDL network, without the need to replace on-site equipment.

- Are not IP enabled
- Need connection to an IP network
- Require high MTBF
- Need secure and encrypted data
- Are low speed (<64k)
- Rely on POS and legacy banking applications
- Are running legacy or polled protocols, e.g. SNA, X25, Bisync, Sync & Async applications
- Require speed or protocol conversions
- Have analogue voice services with low latency signalling requirements
