AEP Networks Appoints Erik Farine as Regional Manager for Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg and FranceSomerset, NJ – March 13, 2006 –AEP Networks today announced that Erik Farine has been appointed as regional manager for Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg and France. Erik is responsible for building the distribution and reseller channels in these countries for AEP’s network security products. Establishing a base in Belgium is part of the company’s ongoing strategy to expand its business in Europe. AEP Networks’ global operations now include the US, UK, Europe, the Middle East and Asia/Pacific Rim. Before joining AEP Networks, Erik was the general manager of Belgium for the Westcon Group, a global channel provider of networking technology. By the end of Erik’s five-year run with Westcon’s daughter company, Comstor Belgium, he had developed a successful channel sales business in Belgium and France. Prior to working with the Westcon Group, Erik helped oversee the 1996 launch of value-added networking distributor AZLAN Belgium as their sales manager. “It’s key to have people in place who know the local market and have the reputation for providing quality service. We anticipate that Erik’s broad expertise and experience building channel relationships for networking products in Europe will result in an uptake of AEP products in Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg and France” said Pat Donnellan, CEO of AEP Networks. Erik’s focus will be to build a channel program for the company’s comprehensive security solutions, from AEP’s award-winning SSL VPN appliances and application-layer security gateways to public key infrastructure (PKI) management and highly secure IPSec VPNs for data security. “I look forward to introducing AEP products to channel partners in Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg and France where a growing number of enterprises plan to implement secure, remote working solutions. I’m confident that recent investments in after-sales support will make AEP products even more attractive to the channel,” said Farine. According to Gartner, more enterprises are looking to implement flexible remote access for a majority of their users. “AEP Networks offers several secure remote access solutions and is well positioned to take advantage of the growing trend towards mobile, remote working,” said Farine.
